Redemption

On an eternal scale: We were deemed worthy of God's companionship at creation. We lost that privilege to sin and chose disobedience over God's way. Jesus took away our sin when He died on the cross in our place, granting us His right-ness (righteousness) and redeeming us worthy again.

On a temporal scale: Redemption means there is hope in the midst of imperfection. A bad day can have good moments, redeeming the day - making it worthy of enjoyment, appreciation, or goodness.

Whether it be the state of our souls or our bad days, Jesus is in the business of redeeming. Redemption promises beauty beyond the moment.

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." -Romans 8:28
